BIOGRAPHY

Born in Cincinnati Ohio, I grew up in New York and Chicago before moving to Los Angeles, at the age of seventeen. I attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena earning a BFA Degree in Graphic Design and Packaging. After graduating I went to work for NBC Universal in Burbank doing Print Advertising & Affiliate Promotion Services.

After several years my wife and I started our own small design studio with clients that include NBC, Disney,
Buena Vista Television, Fox Broadcasting, the American Film Institute, California Institute of Technology, Bank of America, Pennzoil, Toyota, Kenwood Audio, Best Audio, RTS Systems, Bexel Corporation, Serigraphic DisplaysLos Angeles Label, Whole Foods Market, Fred Meyers, Ferraro's Natural Juices and Mrs. Gooch’s Natural Food Market.
One of my proudest professional achievements is the work I did developing branding, private label packaging and print advertising for Mrs. Gooch’s Natural Food Markets. Sandy Gooch started her small chain of Natural Food Markets with a single store in West Los Angeles.

We developed a whimsical brand mark, a full line of private label products and system of newspaper advertising utilizing whimsical copy and illustrations to further leverage the brand mark. The success of the grocery chain was phenomenal, growing at a rate of about one store every two years. In 1993 Sandy sold her chain of seven stores to Whole  Foods, the nation's largest natural food grocer.

In 1998, we moved back to Cincinnati where I took a job with Hulefeld Associates, now Interbrand. Since then I
have been involved in creative brand development and management for a number of highly visible consumer product brands including Aussie, Charmin, Craftsman, ConAgra (Banquet, Claim Jumpers, Marie Callender's), Covidien, Crest, Downy, Ehrmann, Era, Gain, Hanes,
Head & Shoulders, Infusium 23, Purell, Rejoice, TGI Fridays, Kroger, Marsh, Meijer and Stop & Shop, as well as,
pro-bono work for a number of local non-profit charities.
